The big fat Indian wedding

So much noise and no birds around,
It was five in morning and I was sleeping sound.
People here and people there,
Everyone, gave me a stare.

Women, girls and everyone;
Singing, with all their flare.
I had to get up and see if things went well,
And there was this girl, kept in a nutshell.

Time was running and we followed,
People kept coming  to give their ode.
Ceremonies and more with every hour hand,
And we were waiting for the one that was grand.

The clock struck dusk and things went in place,
The army of groom came with all its grace.
He then stood, at my home,
I welcomed him in with all my ohm.

The brother of bride and this is my thought,
The feast had begun with all the people bought.
There was tofu dipped in chocolate, lemon braised fish,
And food for everyone from Kashmir to Flemish.

The Pandit then began with long long chant,
Every colour on earth was sworn then to grant.
The fire was lit, for them to abide,
Everyone then prayed, for a jolly ride.

Rice so pale and flowers in rainbow,
Were blessed at them with all their Hugo;
The feast all night was ending though,
And everyone now was ready to go.

But not before, the boy left,
With his girl, now at his left.
Charmed was I and everyone thy,
For you to come and bid goodbye.

But again, there was more,
All the happiness, at your store.
